शिव जी का मंत्र - Lord Shiva's mantra

Shiva, also known as Mahadeva ("Great God"), is one of the three major deities of Hinduism. According to hindu mythology lord Shiva is the destroyer in the main three supreme god. There are three supreme gods 1st one is Lord Shiva, Second one is Brahma and third one Vishnu.

नागेन्द्रहाराय त्रिलोचनाय भस्माङ्गरागाय महेश्वराय। नित्याय शुद्धाय दिगम्बराय तस्मै नकाराय नम: शिवाय ॥

जो शिव नागराज वासुकि का हार पहिने हुए हैं, तीन नेत्रों वाले हैं, तथा भस्म की राख को सारे शरीर में लगाये हुए हैं, इस प्रकार महान् ऐश्वर्य सम्पन्न वे शिव नित्य–अविनाशी तथा शुभ हैं। दिशायें जिनके लिए वस्त्रों का कार्य करती हैं, अर्थात् वस्त्र आदि उपाधि से भी जो रहित हैं; ऐसे निरवच्छिन्न उस नकार स्वरूप शिव को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ। ।

मन्दाकिनीसलिलचन्दनचर्चिताय नन्दीश्वरप्रमथनाथमहेश्वराय। मन्दारपुष्पबहुपुष्पसुपूजिताय तस्मै मकाराय नम: शिवाय ॥

जो शिव आकाशगामिनी मन्दाकिनी के पवित्र जल से संयुक्त तथा चन्दन से सुशोभित हैं, और नन्दीश्वर तथा प्रमथनाथ आदि गण विशेषों एवं षट् सम्पत्तियों से ऐश्वर्यशाली हैं, जो मन्दार–पारिजात आदि अनेक पवित्र पुष्पों द्वारा पूजित हैं; ऐसे उस मकार स्वरूप शिव को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ।

Which is combined with the holy water of Shiva Akashgamini Mandakini and adorned with sandalwood, And Nandishwar and Pramathnath etc. are blessed with special Ganas and six properties, who are worshiped by many sacred flowers like Mandar-Parijat etc. In this way I salute Shiva in the form of Capricorn.

शिवाय गौरीवदनाब्जवृन्द सूर्याय दक्षाध्वरनाशकाय। श्रीनीलकण्ठाय वृषध्वजाय तस्मै शिकाराय नम: शिवाय ॥

जो शिव स्वयं कल्याण स्वरूप हैं, और जो पार्वती के मुख कमलों को विकसित करने के लिए सूर्य हैं, जो दक्ष–प्रजापति के यज्ञ को नष्ट करने वाले हैं, नील वर्ण का जिनका कण्ठ है, और जो वृषभ अर्थात् धर्म की पताका वाले हैं; ऐसे उस शिकार स्वरूप शिव को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ।

Who is Shiva himself the embodiment of well-being, and who is the sun to make Parvati's lotus face grow, Who is going to destroy the Yagya of Daksh-Prajapati, who has a blue throat, And those who bear the banner of Taurus i.e. religion; In this way I salute Shiva in the form of a victim.

वसिष्ठकुम्भोद्भवगौतमार्य मुनीन्द्रदेवार्चितशेखराय। चन्द्रार्कवैश्वानरलोचनाय तस्मै वकाराय नम: शिवायः ॥

वसिष्ठ, अगस्त्य, गौतम आदि श्रेष्ठ मुनीन्द्र वृन्दों से तथा देवताओं से जिनका मस्तक हमेशा पूजित है, और जो चन्द्र–सूर्य व अग्नि रूप तीन नेत्रों वाले हैं; ऐसे उस वकार स्वरूप शिव को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ।

From the great Munindra groups like Vashishtha, Agastya, Gautam etc. and from the gods whose heads are always worshipped, And those who have three eyes in the form of moon, sun and fire; In this way I salute Shiva in that Vakar form.

यक्षस्वरूपाय जटाधराय पिनाकहस्ताय सनातनाय। दिव्याय देवाय दिगम्बराय तस्मै यकाराय नम: शिवाय् ॥

जो शिव यक्ष के रूप को धारण करते हैं और लंबी–लंबी खूबसूरत जिनकी जटायें हैं, जिनके हाथ में ‘पिनाक’ धनुष है, जो सत् स्वरूप हैं अर्थात् सनातन हैं, दिव्यगुणसम्पन्न उज्जवलस्वरूप होते हुए भी जो दिगम्बर हैं; ऐसे उस यकार स्वरूप शिव को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ।

Who assumes the form of Shiva Yaksha and who has long beautiful matted hair, who has the 'Pinaka' bow in his hand, Those who are the true form i.e. eternal, who are Digambara despite having a bright form with divine qualities; In this way I salute that Yakar form of Shiva.

ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम् उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान् मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात् ॥

हम त्रि-नेत्रीय वास्तविकता का चिंतन करते हैं जो जीवन की मधुर परिपूर्णता को पोषित करता है और वृद्धि करता है। ककड़ी की तरह हम इसके तने से अलग ("मुक्त") हों, अमरत्व से नहीं बल्कि मृत्यु से हों ।

We contemplate the three-fold reality that nurtures and enhances the sweet fullness of life. Like the cucumber, may we be separated ("liberated") from its stem, not from immortality but from death.

सदुपायकथास्वपण्डितो हृदये दु:खशरेण खण्डित:। शशिखण्डमण्डनं शरणं यामि शरण्यमीरम् ॥

हे शम्भो! मेरा हृदय दु:ख रूपीबाण से पीडित है, और मैं इस दु:ख को दूर करने वाले किसी उत्तम उपाय को भी नहीं जानता हूँ अतएव चन्द्रकला व शिखण्ड मयूरपिच्छ का आभूषण बनाने वाले, शरणागत के रक्षक परमेश्वर आपकी शरण में हूँ। अर्थात् आप ही मुझे इस भयंकर संसार के दु:ख से दूर करें।

Hey Shambho! My heart is tormented by the arrows of sorrow, and I do not know any better way to remove this sorrow. Therefore, I am in your refuge, O God who makes the ornaments of Chandrakala and Shikhand Peacock, and the protector of those who surrender themselves. That is, you only remove me from the sorrow of this terrible world.

महत: परित: प्रसर्पतस्तमसो दर्शनभेदिनो भिदे। दिननाथ इव स्वतेजसा हृदयव्योम्नि मनागुदेहि न:॥

हे शम्भो हमारे हृदय आकाश में, आप सूर्य की तरह अपने तेज से चारों ओर घिरे हुए, ज्ञानदृष्टि को रोकने वाले, इस अज्ञानान्ध्कार को दूर करने के लिए प्रकट हो जाओ। ;सूर्य जिस प्रकार अपने तेज–प्रकाश से रात्रिा जन्य अन्ध्कार को दूर कर देता है, उसी प्रकार आप भी यदि हमारे हृदय में प्रकट रहेंगे अर्थात् हमारे यान में रहेंगे तो जरूर हमारा भी कुछ न कुछ अज्ञानान्ध्कार दूर हो जायेगा।

O Shambho in the sky of our heart, you are surrounded on all sides by your brightness like the sun, blocking the sight of knowledge, Appear to remove this darkness of ignorance. ;Just as the sun dispels the darkness of night with its bright light, In the same way, if you also remain visible in our hearts, that is, in our consciousness, then definitely some of our ignorance will be dispelled.
